Digital Health Industry and PuzzleAI: Insights from Recent Online Seminar

Online Seminar on Digital Health Industry Development Concludes

Key Insights from Expert Presentations

PuzzleAI’s Director, Jeong Ha-rin, emphasized AI as a new paradigm for voice recognition and electronic medical records. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has transformed. Consequently, focus has shifted to the digital healthcare industry. This industry now embraces technologies like telemedicine and digital therapeutics.

On August 18, the DHS, the Korean Digital Health Industry Association, Congressman Shin Hyun-young, and the Medical Newspaper hosted an online seminar titled “The Development Direction of the Digital Health Industry.” As a result, experts from various sectors gathered to discuss the current state and regulatory policies regarding digital healthcare.

The seminar featured four keynote presentations in the first session. Following that, the second session focused on “Digital Healthcare in the New Normal.” With nearly 300 participants from diverse fields, the seminar clearly highlighted the intense domestic interest in digital healthcare.

Notably, President Kwon Soon-yong mentioned that the seminar addressed critical issues related to digital healthcare during the pandemic. Important topics included the Digital Health Industry Promotion Law, regulatory improvements, AI in the New Normal, and emerging trends across the digital healthcare sector.

Addressing Challenges in Digital Healthcare

In the third session, Director Jeong Ha-rin from PuzzleAI presented on “AI in the New Normal: The Development Direction of EMRs in the Digital Health Era.” He explained how the healthcare field is now transitioning from traditional methods to a digital health landscape.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of analyzing various phenomena to achieve sustainable and progressive innovation. Importantly, he pointed out the need for ongoing financial and policy support to enhance healthcare service quality. Moreover, addressing issues of working conditions for medical staff is crucial. This aligns with Congressman Shin Hyun-young’s call for readiness in response to promised reforms in digital health services.

The seminar adhered to strict safety protocols, which included a pre-recorded video and a Q&A session via the Medical Newspaper’s webinar website. It was conducted smoothly through a pre-registration system. Finally, the event’s replay is available on the Medical Newspaper’s YouTube channel, “Channel Yi.”
