Development of VoiceEMR Models Across Seven Departments at Anam Hospital
VoiceEMR gains attention in the healthcare field. This system captures all patient information and improves medical staff efficiency. Medical staff can now document via voice instead of traditional methods, which saves time.
Recently, Anam Hospital developed VoiceEMR, making this vision a reality. Last year, the hospital collaborated with PuzzleAI to create a research committee. This committee focused on voice recognition technology. Over a year, they collected over 360,000 medical scripts and voice recordings. Consequently, they developed voice recognition models for seven departments: radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, cardiology, dentistry, emergency medicine, and intensive care.
Enhanced Voice Recognition Capabilities
Anam Hospital reports that the new VoiceEMR uses optimized learning models tailored for each department. Moreover, it includes advanced noise cancellation. This feature significantly improves recognition rates in busy settings. The system supports voice commands to access templates that are stored in the cloud. Thus, medical staff can quickly retrieve frequently used samples for final records.
Additionally, the voice activation feature enhances the system’s convenience. Furthermore, streamlined servers and applications expand usability, making it more accessible for medical staff.
The VoiceEMR research committee plans to use these achievements as a foundation for further research. They aim to gradually expand to more departments. Moreover, the committee looks to develop features based on artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
Professor Song In-Seok, the research lead, stresses, “Advancements in voice recognition reduce routine task time. This allows for a more focused clinical environment. As a result, we expect to extend applications throughout healthcare and improve service quality.”
A representative from PuzzleAI expressed happiness about deploying VoiceEMR in various departments. They will ensure that medical professionals can effectively use the new technology with expert support and resources, enhancing patient care.
In conclusion, the integration of VoiceEMR not only streamlines documentation but also transforms how healthcare providers interact with patients. As this technology evolves, the potential benefits for patient outcomes will become increasingly significant.
